Next steps:

01 → Book your initial call

A get-to-know-you meeting so we can talk through your needs, see if we're a good fit, and figure out where to go from there.

  • Illustration of a laptop computer

    02 → Client Onboarding

You'll fill out the new client form, sign the service agreement, and upload your starter docs (prior year returns, log-ins, all the good stuff).

  •

    03 → Project Work

This is where I do the heavy lifting. I'll come back with follow-up questions when I need them, but the bulk of the grunt work is on me.

  • Line drawing of envelopes

    04 → Wrap Up

We'll schedule any follow-up calls, sort out next deadlines (estimated taxes, planning meetings, etc.), and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.

FAQs

General

  • Yes, we can work together to come up with a plan to provide your tax and accounting with one monthly rate.

  • The prices are reflective of the cost of the software, the amount of work it requires to prepare the return, and the expertise accumulated over the years to get your return prepared correctly.

  • Short answer: no.

I can help you get set up and map accounts into your accounting software, but you'll be responsible for processing those items. Sales tax and payroll are specialized areas in accounting. Each state is different and with remote work it’s difficult to keep on the ever changing rules for employers.

Tax Preparation

  • The flat rate price of your tax return means that you can email or call to get information about your tax situation without getting another invoice.

However! If your question or situation needs research or more work performed, then we’ll discuss price at that time. consultation meetings are also available to help with software issues and training.

  • Yes, there are packages available to help with quarterly planning if that interests you. A la carte options are available for planning as well if you just want it done once or twice a year.

  • The first thing you need to do is not panic.

The second thing you need to do is upload a copy of the notice to your secure client portal. I’ll review it and see what type of response is needed. A quick letter from my response template library is probably all that’s needed and is included in the tax return flat rate.

However, if a more in-depth response and research is needed, then we’ll discuss a separate project and fee for the work.

The CPA behind the inbox

I'm a CPA who's been doing this work since 2008, mostly with small business owners across Oregon, Washington, and California. I started in a small Oregon firm chasing the corner-office dream, realized that wasn't for me, and went out on my own in 2013. Best decision I ever made.

My whole thing is helping you feel confident about your numbers. Most clients come to me with backlogged books or unfiled returns, and within a year they're caught up and actually comfortable talking about their finances. That's the part I love.
